Coaster101 turned 10 years earlier this month, and to celebrate, we’re looking back at our favorite posts from the past decade. We’re also giving away TEN Coaster101 Prize Packs! Today we’re revisiting 2013.

We rode the new-for-2013 Gatekeeper wing coaster at Cedar Point. We also revisited the short-lived Hard Rock Park/Freestyle Music Park rides.
Throughout the year, we followed the Kentucky Kingdom revival efforts as well as Six Flags Great America’s plans for a record-breaking wooden coaster.
Nick built “The Comet,” a classic wooden coaster CoasterDynamix model.
The website’s appearance remained consistent for the greater part of 2013. 
However, at the end of the year, we unveiled “Coaster101 V5,” a complete redesign of the website (and the design still present today).
