Disney World Expanding Soarin’ and Toy Story
Your waits for two Walt Disney World attractions could be shorter by 2017. Earlier today, Walt Disney World announced plans to increase capacity of two of the resort’s most popular attractions: Soarin’ at Epcot and Toy Story Mania! at Disney Hollywood Studios.
By the end of 2016, Soarin’ will feature an additional theater and Toy Story Mania! will contain another track.
Disney Parks Social Media Director Thomas Smith announced on the Disney Parks blog:
One of the things we’ve heard from our guests is that a visit to Walt Disney World Resort just isn’t complete without enjoying the spectacular views at Soarin’ in Epcot or a spin through Toy Story Mania! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Well, I’m excited to share that we are expanding both attractions by adding another theater at Soarin’ and more midway track at Toy Story Mania! We’ll also be updating the screens and projection system at Soarin,’ bringing a visually enhanced experience.
Soarin’ at Epcot opened in 2005. Toy Story Mania! debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2008.
