Help Coaster101 “Coast” for the Kids!

Nearly 10 years ago, before I graduated high school, I planned out a “Roller Coaster Road Trip” of sorts that would have seen me visit nearly 40 theme parks in 30 days, and riding each roller coaster (over 230 in total) in each park. I would have started at my home park, Carowinds, and traveled clockwise in a “9” shape, stopping at most of the major parks east of the Mississippi River. The idea would have been to have people pledge a certain amount of money for each roller coaster I rode, and 100% of those pledges would be donated to a charitable cause. I soon realized I lacked the financial means to make this happen, and the idea went to the back of my mind.

I have found the next best thing, however; Coasting For Kids, benefiting Give Kids The World.

Cedar Fair Entertainment Company’s  theme parks are partnering with Give Kids The World for the seventh consecutive year to host Coasting For Kids. On Sunday, June 7, I will be captaining the Coaster101.com team at Carowinds and riding a signature thrill ride in order to make a difference in the lives of children! (They haven’t announced the ride yet.)

I would greatly appreciate the support of Coaster101.com readers in this thrilling fundraising adventure by making a donation to my personal fundraising page today. I have set a goal of $300, but I would LOVE to blow that number out of the water and be the top fundraiser at Carowinds! The last day to donate is June 7, 2015, the day of the event.

Coaster101 team members Nick and Larry have participated in this event in the past at Cedar Point and Michigan’s Adventure respectively, and were successful in their fundraising efforts largely due to Coaster101.com’s awesome readers.
