Beech Bend Adding Five New Rides in 2015

Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky might not be the largest amusement park in the United States, but the park is planning on debuting an impressive five new rides for the 2015 season. Below are details about each of the five new-for-2015 rides:

1. Air Race. From Zamperla comes a “brand new ride experience” that “replicates the experiences and sensations of an acrobatic airplane flight” 30 feet above the ground. “Banks, loops, dives and weightlessness will test even the most experienced thrill seekers.” Watch another Zamperla “Air Race” model in action at Luna Park in the video below:

Air Race seems like it will be just as fun to watch as it is to ride (which is good, since spinning and I don’t mix).

2. A “beautiful carousel swing” from Italian ride manufacturer, Bertazzon. Every amusement park needs a classic chairswing ride.

“We had been thinking about a new swing ride for a couple of years. The swing we ordered is a gorgeous ride with very intricate, hand painted panels and a beautiful light package”, commented Jones.

The park is asking for help from the public to name the new carousel swing. Visit the park’s Facebook page or tag the park’s Twitter handle (@BeechBendPark) to enter your name suggestion and you could win tickets to Beech Bend Park for the 2015 season.

3. Monster Truck “will have kids squealing with delight as they pop wheelies, crush cars and climb over obstacles.”

4. An updated Sizzler will replace the park’s existing version.

5. Like Sizzler, a new version of the park’s Tornado ride will also open in 2015.
