Its name is Baron 1898, it’s opening at Efteling in 2015 and it’s likely going to be the best-themed dive coaster you’ve ever seen.

The park recently released a stunning drawing of the mining-themed Bolliger & Mabillard dive machine, along with its official name. The translated tweet reads: “The name of the new attraction is known: Baron 1898! The dive coaster gets a mining theme.”

As you can see in the drawing, the ride will be extensively themed — likely more than any other B&M dive machine coaster.

See below for the coaster’s site plan and its placement within the park:

The ride’s story, translated, reads:

The greedy Mr. Baron has a vein of gold found in the south of the country. He wants gold out of the ground as much as possible, but this land is protected by the Weird Sisters. Mr. Baron Gustave High-Courage calls him to help the workers and promises them… During the ride in 1898, Baron becomes clear that the Weird Sisters in their efforts to sabotage the gold mining.

The below construction video, although not in English, is interesting to watch as the park makes preparations and plans for Baron 1898:

The coaster will feature a 123-foot drop. Each of the three 18-seat trains will reach a maximum speed of 55 mph.
