Disneyland Announces Holiday Season

Didn’t I just write about Halloween?  Oh well, Disneyland has announced their various makeovers for Christmas season coming up, running from mid November to early January.  Most of the updates are about the holiday season shows and parades, including the return of the “Winter Dreams” World of Color show at California Adventure.

“World of Color-Winter Dreams” at California Adventure.

Disneyland itself will see the transformation of the Small World ride into a holiday version, and the Haunted Mansion will continue to be “Nightmare Before Christmas” themed, which you may recall me mentioning is one of my favorite seasonal rides anywhere (and, of course, Nightmare is really a Christmas movie, not a Halloween movie).  The Sleeping Beauty Castle will get it’s winter makeover, and the winter themed fireworks show and Christmas parade come back to Disneyland.  Lastly, and not surprisingly, a Frozen themed ice skating rink will open up in Downtown Disney outside the parks.

Lots of holiday decorations will cover all of Disneyland and California Adventure.

As with anything Disney, expect tons of decorations and little touches all over the parks.  More details on the Holiday season updates can be found at the official press release here.
