Holiday World’s Thunderbird Topped Off

Construction crews at Holiday World are wasting no time in erecting the Bolliger & Mabillard launched wing coaster.

A few days ago, crews hoisted the top piece of the coaster’s Immelmann inversion into place.

The pinnacle moment was also captured on video by the park.

At 140 feet, the Immelmann inversion is the tallest point on the launched wing coaster. Riders will enter this element directly following the 0-60 mph launch.

It’s looking good! Hopefully progress will continue at this speed. The coaster is expected to open spring 2015.
