78-Year-Old Woman Rides First Coaster

Here’s a video that will surely brighten those Monday blues.

Below, watch 78-year-old Ria Van den Brand of the Netherlands ride her first roller coaster — Formule X at Drievliet Family Park.

The video is a part of telecommunication company Vodafone’s Firsts campaign which features grandmothers Ria and An on other first-time adventures like flying on a plane.

Formule X is no beginner’s coaster. The Maurer Söhne “X-Car” coaster features a 0-43.5 mph launch and two inversions along the 1,164-foot layout. It opened in 2007.
