Goliath Rises at Six Flags Great America
Construction crews are hard at work building Six Flags Great America’s new Goliath coaster, a product of Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC). They shared some great photos on Facebook of the coaster’s vertical progress.
RMC writes: “Many footings in the ground and now standing bents!”
The construction timetable is a fast one, and the RMC team is up to the challenge: “Crews [are] working upwards of 60 hours per week, and they didn’t even come home for Thanksgiving. Thank you to our hard working employees!”
More footers are scattered across the Goliath site, formerly home to Iron Wolf, a Bolliger & Mabillard stand-up coaster.

Iron Wolf’s former station is visible in the background. It will be reused as Goliath’s station.
