Alton Towers have recently submitted plans to upgrade the ‘Old MacDonald’s Farmyard’ area in time for the 2014 season. Even though there will not be any new rides, it is once again good to see UK parks investing in existing attractions.
Rumours announced by other sites state that an official sponsor for some of the areas may be made public soon.
Just a few of the changes include newly built changing areas, the demolition of entrance walkways to some rides and the general re-theming and re-imagining of the design of the attractions that have been in place at Alton Towers for over 18 years.
Once more details are announced I shall update, and on my next trip to Alton Towers I will be sure to try and snap a few pictures of the development areas.
