App Review: Silverwood Theme Park

Silverwood Theme Park recently released an easy-to-use interactive app that maximizes guests’ in-park experience. I took the app for a test run and was very pleased with its functionality.

According to Silverwood, the app “will help guests navigate its overall layout, where the closest rides, slides, shows, restaurants, restrooms, ATMs and games are.”

While I wasn’t in the park during the app test cycle, I did get a good feel for all the included features. Overall, it is well-organized, and I was happy to see it optimized for the larger iPhone 5 screen (the app is also available for Android devices).

The app’s navigation is easy. The content is thorough. All the park’s attractions, ordered in their proximity to the user, has as an individual page with photos, video and need-to-know statistics. However, I would have liked to see height restrictions posted for each ride. I was not able to find them anywhere on the app.

The app’s features include:

  • Interactive, zoom-able GPS map that indicates your current location and shows closest points of interest
  • Video, Images, of each attraction
  • Socially-integrated postcard feature. Share your day at the park on Facebook and Twitter
  • Lots of information at your finger tips including phone numbers, website, and descriptions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest deals going on in the park

I really like the “create a postcard” feature. Being able to send a virtual postcard via social media while in the park will surely be a well-utilized feature of the app. The current weather page was also great to see.

Download the Silverwood Theme Park app for free on iTunes or Google Play.

Silverwood Theme Park is the largest Theme and Water Park in the northwest with 216 acres of fun and over 65 rides, slides, shows and attraction in the park including four roller coasters. The Boulder Beach water park features two wave pools, many water slides, play areas for the kids and VIP cabanas.
