Lost Parks of Northern California Documentary

The Northern California Region of American Coaster Enthusiasts has released the first installment in the Lost Parks of Northern California documentary series that covers the 12 lost amusement parks of the northern California region.

Hosted by Kris Rowberry of Great American Thrills, the first episodes of the series focuses on Pacific City which operated for only two years from 1921 to 1922. The seaside park, located in Burlingame, California, was home to the Comet roller coaster which stood 80 feet tall. Interestingly enough, the park’s carousel now resides at the San Francisco Zoo. Watch the documentary below:

We look forward to the future installments of Lost Parks of Northern California. Which lost northern California park would you like to see featured?

Great little documentary, few people do the history of Amusement Parks. Look forward to future installments. What about Idora Park in Oakland?

  2. Thanks for the comment! It’s definitely on our list – as is Neptune Beach, Shellmound Park AND Shadow Cliffs to complete the Lost Parks of the East Bay!

A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would
really make my blog shine. Please let me know where you got your theme.
    Many thanks
