Six Flags St. Louis’ Boomerang Rises
Six Flags St. Louis’ new-for-2013 Boomerang coaster is rising from the ground. The park shared some photos of the coaster’s progress on Facebook.

You can see above how close together Boomerang and Screamin’ Eagle stand.

Boomerang’s hillside location required the alteration of the support work. The coaster previously operated at Six Flags over Texas as Flashback. See our post from last month to learn more about the preparation for Boomerang.

I like the green/orange color scheme, as both colors were previously absent from the park’s skyline. I look forward to seeing the inversions take shape. The coaster will open later this spring.
So does the ride go backwards or do two trains go at once?
The ride goes backwards up the first lift, then forwards through the all whole circuit and up the second lift, then it goes backwards through the course again, returning to the starting point.
Oh, I get it!
When we drove by yesterday, all that had to be completed was the vertical loop. It actually really stands out on Six Flags St. Louis’ rather drab skyline, and looks great.
Thanks for the update Jon!
