Today was an eventful day for lovers of roller coaster construction. Construction crews completed the track for Cedar Point’s GateKeeper wing coaster, while crews installed the first piece of Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Full Throttle coaster.
Cedar Point shared the above photo on the park’s Facebook page. After months of constructions (in harsh conditions at times), the massive wing coaster is complete. Testing should begin shortly. Hopefully no inversions will be removed last-minute (too soon?).
Premier Rides also shared the above photo of Full Throttle track on their Facebook page. I’m glad to see vertical construction finally begin. I can’t to see the entire layout complete.
Which coaster are you more excited to ride: GateKeeper or Full Throttle? Share your opinion in the comments section below.
More excited for Gatekeeper because it’s closer to me! Can’t wait to get up there (hopefully opening week)! I am looking forward to some testing videos soon. I also am anxious to see Full Throttle come together, it looks like a great ride.
When do they start testing GateKeeper?
I’ve read that the structure should be done around the end of March/early April, so we should see testing right after.
What structure? The trains? I can’t wait.
