Iron Rattler Construction Panoramas

Six Flags Fiesta Texas construction crews are progressing quickly with Rattler’s conversion into the wood-steel Iron Rattler hybrid. The park shared some incredible panoramic shots of the construction site on the Six Flags Fiesta Texas Facebook page.

Although the first drop may seem like it’s missing a chunk of support, keep in mind that 81-degree drop!

“This overview shot was taken from the summit of the quarry wall where the Iron Rattler will twist and turn through its first two overbanked turns (where you’ll be nearly upside down) before plunging down to park level. Then the Rattler strikes with a coiling zero-g barrel roll flipping you completely upside down (located to the far left of this shot under construction).”

Although not a panoramic photo, this shot of the nearly 180-foot-tall lift hill is impressive. Seen wrapping around the lift hill is an old section of the Rattler that has not yet been converted.

Iron Rattler is expected to open in the spring of 2013.
