Vintage Frontier City Photographs

Frontier City recently shared some vintage photos of the amusement park that were taken around its opening in 1958. The Oklahoma City park has changed a lot since its humble beginnings. See for yourself below:

The park’s entrance is featured in this postcard photograph which reads on the reverse side: “Entrance to fabulous Frontier City U.S.A. The builders of Frontier City have spared no expense to actually re-create in all its colorful authenticity, a frontier town of the late 1800’s.”

Seen above is the “’89er Ghost Mine attraction,” which is now known as Quick Draw.

The above photograph was used as a postcard which said on the reverse side: “Boot Hill, one of many colorful attractions at Frontier City, U.S.A. Many hours of excitement are in store for visitors of Frontier City, U.S.A. The builders of Frontier City, U.S.A. have spared no expense to actually re-create in all of its colorful authenticity, a frontier town of the late 1800’s.”
