Great Read: Comparing Disney to Apple

When you think about it, Disney and Apple aren’t all that different, at least in their business practices. The fine attention to detail and the exceptional customer service are only two of the many similarities between the two giants. I came across a great article in the Harvard Business Review that goes a little more in-depth into the differences.

An excerpt from the article reads:

“Disney’s attention to design detail predates Apple’s by decades. But in each case, the companies approached their work as craft as much as manufacturing. In Disney’s case, the visionary leadership is long gone. In Apple’s, we wait and see. But if Disney’s success is any indication, surely we can be optimistic that Apple will be able to carry on with their current tradition of innovation.”

What are your thoughts on the similarities between the two? Can you point out any other ways that Disney and Apple are alike? Join the conversation by using the comment system below.
