Freestyle Music Park is not reopening in 2012, however, work is being done to see that he park does reopen, possibly as soon as 2013.
A MyrtleBeachOnline.com article states:
“FPI US LLC, the mortgage holder that reclaimed the park property through the Horry County foreclosure auction in August, had aimed to find a buyer or group to operate the park in time for this summer. Talks with interested groups continue, and FPI still is confident the theme park could work under the right operator, said Franklin Daniels, a Myrtle Beach attorney who represents FPI.”
Hopefully we will see the right people take control of this park so that it may reopen and perhaps even operate successfully. There are certainly mixed opinions on whether or not this park will ever be able to stand on its own.
