Dear 2011, I’m Glad You’re Gone

Ahh, between moving and the holidays I found myself in 2012 already. I thought I’d give a proper send off to 2011.

Dear 2011,

We had good times, you and I, but I’ve been doing some thinking and I’ve realized that I just need to move on. It’s time for something new, for something bigger and better, and 2012 is looking like it has all of that and more to offer me. I know you tried your best, but I have to do this. That isn’t to say we didn’t share great memories, of course we did! I went to Universal Studios for the first time ever, and that was something special – between us. We sipped on butterbeer, hung out with Wolverine, were chased by dinosaurs, played some great carnival games and chomped on some delicious veggie burgers. Oh, and seeing Mr. Anderson win the TNA Championship Title was cool too. It was magical to say the least.

Remember when we went to Cedar Point for Halloween? It was a blast seeing everyone decked out in costume and exploring the haunted houses and outdoor mazes. And the extra time on Millennium Force? You know its one of my favourite rides! Boy, I went on that ride so many times I couldn’t see straight!

We made ourselves comfortable at King’s Island too, our go-to park. I’ve got that park memorized and I can’t wait to go back, especially for Diamondback. What a beautiful ride with a beautiful view – so romantic.

The thing is, 2012 just exciting and spontaneous – full of surprises! 2012 is giving me Wild Eagle at Dollyworld, Skyrush at Hersheypark, Leviathan at Canada’s Wonderland, and even a bunch of upgrades to the Six Flags parks. 2012 made me promises and I’m just going to have to follow my heart here. Please don’t take it personally, and I wish you all the best, but I have to do this – for me. We can be friends, okay?

Sincerely (not quite) yours,

Amy-Chan
