Happy Halloween 2011!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, but at the same time it marks the demise (for the most part) of the coaster season.

As you enjoy the candy and frights that come with the season, we hope you have enjoyed the 2011 rollercoaster season. That is, unless you live in California or Florida, where you don’t get to experience the joys of the off season.

Several parks have posted pumpkin-related photos online in preparation for the Halloween holiday:

Seasame Place, which was hit by the recent “Snowtober” storm, posted a photo of frosted Sesame Street pumpkins.

Busch Gardens Tampa posted a photo of a hyena running away with a hollowed-out pumpkin.

In continuing the animal-eating-pumpkin trend, Chessington World of Adventures posted a photo of a tiger nibbling on a pumpkin.

Last but not least, Disney World posted the above photo showing a pumpkin man on Mainstreet at Magic Kingdom.

We hope you have an excellent holiday and we look forward to braving the off season with you!
