Scream Zone, Coney Island’s newest amusement park, is only a few weeks away from opening, and there is still heavy construction going on in the area:
The Steeplechase cars are on site, but have been kept under protective tarps.
Some of the coaster’s track has already been constructed.
I wonder if the track will remain white.
They still have a ways to go, however.
Seen above is a Soaring Eagle test car. The coaster was relocated from Elitch Gardens.
It looks like the coaster got a shiny fresh new coat of paint.
Work is underway on Soaring Eagle’s loading platform. A portion of the station’s structure has already been constructed.
The Sling Shot carriage looks like it’s ready to launch, except for a few minor details.
Soaring Eagle’s twisted course stands tall above the soon-to-be midway.
Sling Shot is in close proximity to Soaring Eagle.
Thanks to Allen Amey for sharing these photos with us!
Its really exciting to see how everything is coming together!! There will be new coaster cars for the Soaring Eagle that should help with the amount of jarring that occurred when going through the flips.
Also, the Steeplechase track will remain white!!
