Just as the tagline says, the iPhone app Thrill Seeker puts the “theme parks in your pocket.”
Thrill Seeker allows users to see a detailed overview of what a selected park has to offer. Think of it like a park brochure on steroids… on your iPhone. After a user selects a park, it is divided into its themed areas and from there, users can see all the attractions that specific area has to offer. Ride specifications and over 1,500 photos of rides are included in the new version of Thrill Seeker.
The latest version of the app has been rebuilt completely from the original version. Built-in maps are one of the new features found in the Thrill Seeker 2.0. With the touch of a button, users can instantly see a satellite image of the park they are at… making finding that one ride they’re looking for a breeze. Users can filter which attractions they want marked on the satellite image.
The updated app also boasts faster calculations and wireless updates than its predecessor.
The app currently covers a select number of parks, including: Adventure Island Water Park, Alton Towers, Alton Towers Waterpark, Aquatica, Busch Gardens Africa, Chessington World of Adventures, Discovery Cove, Drayton Manor, Oakwood, SeaWorld Orlando, Thorpe Park, Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Blizzard Beach, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Wet ’n Wild Orlando.
Though every theme park is not yet covered by Thrill Seeker, the parks that are covered are done so quite extensively.
The app is user-friendly, simple, and straightforward. Any iPhone user visiting a park this summer should seriously consider this app! After a few minutes of playing around with Thrill Seeker, I fell in love with the app not only as a perfect in-park app but also an app that’s fun to use even when you’re not at the park.
