Cinderella's Castle

This is a continuation of Coaster101’s recent trip to Florida. This time I will be showing some pictures and sharing some thoughts about our visit to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. My twin sister and I decided to take advantage of Disney’s free admission on your birthday promotion this year. We registered online and took our printed forms to the guest services office outside of the park. We presented our driver’s license and we each received a complimentary park ticket and happy birthday pin. Every cast member we saw that day wished us a happy birthday. We also saw many other people in the park not only wearing birthday pins but celebrating other occasions like first visit to Disney World, just married, anniversary, etc.

I’d been to the World many times before but this my first trip staying on site in a Disney resort and utilizing the provided transportation. We got a good rate at the All Star Music resort and the bus took us directly to the front gate of the Magic Kingdom, skipping the transportation hub altogether. All very convenient.

Seven Seas Lagoon

The day was not without its mishaps however. Besides getting stuck in the middle of Splash Mountain for over fifteen minutes there were three times when we had to get out of line because the ride broke down. These included Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, and yes, the train. Two of those times we were given Fastpasses to make up our wasted time but on a day of light crowds they were pretty much pointless and we ended up only using one of them.

Sadly, Space Mountain was still closed for its lengthy rehab and construction walls were still up inside when we rode the People Mover.

I didn’t take too many pictures, and actually no video, during our visit because I wanted to just relax and enjoy myself instead of worrying about getting good shots. I hope you enjoy the pictures that I did take.
