SLC at La Ronde Confirmed

Six Flags owned La Ronde confirmed today that the SLC track and supports that showed up recently are indeed going to installed at the park for next season. From the official park website:

La Ronde will launch in May 2010 a new, awe-inspiring, half-suspended rollercoaster over lac des Dauphins, made possible by a major investment by Six Flags Inc.

La Ronde’s new roller coaster is :

  • A 33 metre high structure
  • 5 incredible inversions
  • Two 20 passenger trains
  • A 689 metre track
  • Half the ride is above water!

The rollercoaster manufacturer, Vekoma, is well-known in Montreal, having designed three of La Ronde’s most popular rides: Super Manège, Boomerang and Grande Roue.
