Welcome to the fifth annual Coaster101 photo contest! There will be three categories this year: original, edited, and humor. See below for more information on entry categories and contest rules. Click here to see last year’s winning entries.
Categories
1. Original – These photos may not be noticeably altered by photo editing software. The only exception to this rule is a black and white photo.
2. Edited – These photos should showcase extensive photo editing.
3. Humor – Submit a humorous photo. These photos may be edited or unedited. Please do not submit photos that are distasteful or show disrespect to a park guest. These photos will be posted for voting at the discretion of Coaster101 staff. These photos do not have to contain a rollercoaster, but they need to be related to an amusement park or the amusement industry.
Rules
Participants may submit one photo per category. The photo must have been taken by the participant entering the photo.
Photos in the “original” and “edited” categories should contain at least one rollercoaster.
Please do not endanger yourself or others by taking an onride photo. Onride photos will not be accepted unless you can provide some form of proof that you had permission from the park to take a camera on a ride.
Entries may be submitted through Wednesday, July 11th, 2012. Voting will begin soon thereafter.
By submitting a photo, you agree to allow Coaster101 to use the photo as an example for future photo contests.
Voting
Voting will begin in July after the entry period ends. Voters will be allowed to choose their three favorite photos from each category. Voters will only be allowed to vote once.
Winners
There will be a first place winner, as well as an honorable mention for each category. First place winners will receive a Coaster101 prize pack including prizes from parks across the country!
