Coaster101 | Experience the Coaster

Coaster101 is a coaster enthusiast website created by the opinions of its users. The site has been around since June 15th, 2005. The site is owned and maintained by John Stevenson (with the help of several people). We believe to make a decent site, it must be updated, and that the user must have a total say on what goes into it. We feel a site created by a variety of opinions is better than a site created soley by one person.

The site has had its ups and downs but is steadily receiving a larger crowd each day. We receive anywhere from 300 to 5,000 unique hits each day. Coaster101 does feature a forum but does not rely on it for the attraction of new users/viewers. We believe that the content of a site should draw someone in before a forum does.

I have been in love with coasters since I was about seven when I first went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Ever since then, it has been a dream of mine to maintain a coaster enthusiast website. Admin, Photographer - Brandon - Hey, I am Brandon (A global mod) from Northern California! I am 16, and I started riding roller coasters when I was around 10. My first coaster was Top Gun at Paramounts Great America, and ever since I went on it, I have been trying to go as much places as possible to ride every roller coaster I possibly can. Moderator/Editorial Writer - Tyler - Hey, I'm Tyler. I am a moderator here on Coaster101. My love of coasters started at 7, when I saw them on the computer. Afterwards I got the first RCT and I was in love. At 9 I got to ride SooperDooperLooper @ HersheyPark and that started me off on actually riding them. Like John, I would love to have a coaster site of my own. But until then I am happy to belong to a great site that is constantly growing! I hope everyone is enjoying the site and I look forward to seeing you all on the Forums and in Chat!

Moderator, Photographer - Zack - Hey, I'm Zack Lloyd. I am 15 years old, I will be 16 on July 15, 2007. My obsession with coasters started around when the first Rct came out. I played it and suddenly wanted to ride coasters each and every day! Here at coaster101 I'm a moderator and photographer. My home park is Kennywood. My first wooden coaster was Jack Rabbit at Kennywood, my first steel was Lil' Phantom at Kennywood, and my first coaster with an inversion was Double Loop at Geauga Lake. Like Tyler and John, I would love to have my own coaster site one day, but C101 is my home and probably will be for quite some time! Some of my favorite hobbies are, RCT3, photography, skateboarding, snowboarding, and swimming(but not competitive). Thats all I got for now! See everyone on the forums, and have fun!
