DC Rivals HyperCoaster Announced for Warner Bros. Movie World

Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast of Australia will later this year debut DC Rivals HyperCoaster, the tallest roller coaster in the Southern Hemisphere. The roller coaster will stand 202 feet tall with a top speed of 71 mph.

DC Rivals HyperCoaster is manufactured by Mack Rides of Germany. The coaster’s custom-designed trains will be the first on a major steel roller coaster to give riders the option of riding forwards or backwards.

“Reaching speeds of up to 115km/h, guests will be taken on an exhilarating journey as they experience 4.3G forces and a series of twists and turns along the 1.4km track, almost double the length of any other ride on the Gold Coast,” said Clark Kirby, CEO at Village Roadshow Theme Parks, the operator of Warner Bros. Movie World.

The DC Rivals HyperCoaster is expected to open October 2017.
