Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s Food & Wine Festival Begins May 26!

As food becomes a larger and larger part of the overall theme park experience, park guests are often treated to new and unique ways to experience the mastery of a park’s culinary team. What better way to show off a wide variety of cuisine than with a food festival?

Returning this year for its fourth season is the Busch Gardens Williamsburg Food & Wine Festival, which features an international showcase of new food items and savory drink selections to satisfy guests’ taste buds.

The Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival offers guests the opportunity to sample a variety of food and beverages not normally served in the park. Visitors can enjoy authentic tastes from around the world at 15 themed kiosks while strolling through the world’s most beautiful theme park. The Wine on the Rhine river cruise is perfect for guests looking to add a little extra ambiance to their tasty adventure.

The festival begins May 26 and runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, through July 2, including Memorial Day Monday. The festival is included with park admission. Guests will have more chances to explore these offerings as this year’s festival has been extended an additional week from years past, now spanning six weeks.

There will be three new regions featured at Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s Food & Wine Festival.

  • India, featuring tandoori chicken, samosas, spicy potato curry, mango burfi, mango mint lassi and masala chai iced tea
  • Mediterraean, featuring halloumi, lamb burger slider, falafel, baklava, Elios Mediterranean red and white wines, Ouzo cocktails and iced café au lait
  • Island Freeze Frozen Drinks, featuring rum runner, mojito, pina colata, Bahama Mama, sangria, strawberry daiquiri, Shark Bite and Bellini

Guests will be able to find chef demonstrations (featuring sampling tastes) in Germany, Oktoberfest, Italy and Ireland, as well as a “pairing” event at the park’s Castle O’Sullivan in Ireland where Busch Gardens’ wine ambassadors will provide instruction on the proper pairing of wines and foods. This experience is available by reservation, and also includes taste and wine sampling.

Each food item at the 15 kiosks is available a la carte, with prices ranging from $3-6, but you can also purchase the Food & Wine Festival Food & Beverage Sampler, which includes any ten (10) Food & Wine festival items for $45, or upgrade to the Deluxe Version of the sampler for $60, which includes 15 items for $60.

Guests can also “Sip, savor and save” with a Wine Tasting Trio and get any three of the park’s five wine-tasting experiences for $31.95.
