Epcot’s iconic Spaceship Earth will be temporarily transformed to look like the “Death Star” spaceship superweapon featured in several Star Wars films, including the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (due in theaters Dec. 16).

The effect will be created by the use of digital projection mapping — which Disney is beginning to use more often in its attractions.

The transformation will take place Monday night (Dec. 5) during a special after-hours meet-up hosted by the Disney Parks Blog. While the meetup has already reached the maximum number of RSVPs, Disney will live stream the event on the Disney Parks Blog website.
And possibly even more exciting, this blog post revealed that attendees will hear updates on current and upcoming Star Wars experiences at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
