Amazing Taron Photos, On-Ride POV Video Released

Phantasialand’s rather secretive new-for-2016 Taron coaster opens tomorrow, and the park has released some incredible visuals in advance of its debut.

The Intamin Blitz coaster stretches nearly 4,600 feet long and features two launches.

Watch an on-ride POV video of Taron below (you’ll probably need to watch it a few times just to catch everything):

As you can probably gather from the video above, Taron goes above and beyond your typical Intamin launched coaster.

While Phantasialand has shrouded many of Taron’s specifics in secrecy, the park has touted some of the coaster’s impressive records.

It’s a multi-launch coaster, featuring two LSM (Linear Synchronous Motor).

It’s the longest and fastest multi-launch coaster in the world.

And it crosses over and under itself 116 times.

The coaster’s four trains seat 16 riders each.

Of course, the trains themselves also feature an intricate design.

As if the coaster itself wasn’t amazing enough, the thematic elements and rock work intertwined with the track are works of art.

The attention to detail is incredible, but Taron riders likely won’t have much time to admire it.

But they’ll surely notice all the near misses with the jagged rocks.

Why stop with Taron? Phantasialand is also debuting Raik, a Vekoma family boomerang shuttle coaster, this year.

Both coasters are opening in a new area of the park, “Klugheim.”
