Carowinds Announces Inaugural “Coaster Campout”

Do you love roller coasters? Do you love camping? What about supporting a good cause? All three you say? Carowinds has the event just for you.

The inaugural Carowinds “Coaster Campout” will take place on Thursday/Friday, August 13-14, and is an opportunity to camp INSIDE of Carowinds.

Each campsite costs a $200 donation and can accommodate a tent with up to 4 people. Campsites can accommodate a tent up to 10′ x 10’ in size. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Cedar Fair Charities, Inc.

Each donation includes admission to the park for August 13th and 14th, an evening meal of hot dogs and hamburgers, exclusive ride times in Thrill Zone, a late snack, a breakfast buffet in Harmony Hall and Early Ride Time on Friday, August 14.

The event itinerary is as follows:

Thursday, August 13
4:00PM – 6:00PM: Check-in at Harmony Hall Patio
6PM – 7:30PM: Dinner at Harmony Hall/Food Truck
7:30PM – 8:30PM: Load-in to your campsite
8:00PM: Park Closes
8:30PM – 10:00PM: Exclusive ride time on Fury 325, Hurler and Drop Tower
10:00PM – 10:45PM: S’mores

Friday, August 14
7:00AM – 8:00AM: Rise & Shine! Campers awake and load out.
8:00AM – 9:00AM: Breakfast Buffet at Harmony Hall
9:00AM – 10:00AM: Exclusive Ride Times on Crabbie Cabbie, Woodstock Gliders and Afterburn
10:00AM: Park Opens

Tickets for this event are available online only, and sales end at 11:59PM on August 3, 2015.
