Lagoon’s Cannibal Testing with Riders

The wait is almost over — hopefully. Lagoon’s highly anticipated Cannibal coaster was seen today testing with human riders.

Watch the video of some lucky people riding the coaster below:

As of this posting, Lagoon’s website acknowledges the coaster’s delayed debut:

Due to ongoing testing and commissioning, the opening of Cannibal has been postponed to a later date. Stay tuned for another announcement.

Cannibal stands 208 feet tall and features a 116° beyond-vertical drop along with five inversions. Riders will reach a top speed of 70 mph while navigating the 2,735 feet of track. It’s being built in-house by Lagoon. The below aerial shot was taken while the coaster was still under construction:

Hopefully the coaster operating with people means that a public opening is not far away. Stay tuned to Coaster101 for the latest updates.
