Coaster101 turned 10 years old last Monday, and to celebrate, we’re looking back at our favorite posts from the past decade and by giving away TEN Coaster101 Prize Packs! Today we’re flashing back to 2012.

The appearance of the website remained largely the same throughout 2012 as the Coaster101 team continued to place a greater focus on content over design.
Our content in 2012 was exciting to say the least. We interviewed Things to Do In Theme Park Queues author Scott Wegener.
We reviewed new-for-2012 coasters Skyrush at Hersheypark, Wild Eagle at Dollywood and X-Flight at Six Flags Great America — the latter two of which were the first Bolliger & Mabillard wing coasters in North America.
Nick Weisenberger’s “Coasters-101” series analyzed 4th-dimension roller coaster design.
We also interviewed the man behind the Spirit of California project and roller-coaster modeler Brad Sherman.
2012 was an exciting year (and thankfully, the world didn’t end).
