Earlier today, Trimper’s Rides in Ocean City, Maryland, shared photos of an interesting-looking portable coaster I’d previously never seen.
Appropriately named “Spinning Coaster,” the ride is a “Compact Spinning Coaster” model from SBF Visa Group, an Italian group specializing in portable (and permanent) rides and other attractions.

I could see these catching on at travelling fairs (if they haven’t already). Spinning coasters are popular with the crowds, and a kid-friendly version should be no exception.
The coaster’s compact, figure-8 layout makes it a great choice for any space-limited park, such as Trimper’s Rides.
While the coaster is portable, hopefully Trimper’s is planning on this coaster entertaining guests for many years to come.
Four riders per car sit back to back. Each train contains four cars for a total of sixteen riders per train.

Spinning Coaster joins three other coasters at Trimper’s Rides, including Tidal Wave, a Vekoma boomerang coaster (the white track seen in the background).
These rides look great! It’s the same model that was at IAAPA last year and is now open at Silverwood in Idaho.
