Six Flags Fiesta Texas gave us an unobstructed virtual ride on the park’s new-for-2015 Batman: The Ride coaster.
As you may know, this Batman: The Ride will be very different from the other Batmans at Six Flags parks.
Vertical construction hasn’t started…yet. But last week, the park debuted a new, full ride-through animation of the bizarre coaster which helps make the wait less painful. Watch it below:
The S&S “4D Free Spin” coaster will stand 120 feet tall, feature a 54-foot drop and a top speed of 38 mph during the 1,019-foot course.
Unfortunately, the new video will have to hold you over before you can ride the real deal. The park shared a photo of Batman track and supports arriving at the construction site today:

The coaster is expected to open this summer.
What are your thoughts on this new direction S&S seems to be taking with its 4D coasters? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
4th dimension coaster profile is growing. So far, there is the traditional 4th dimension coaster by S&S Worldwide (formerly Arrow Dynamics) and ZacSpin by Intamin. Free Fly by S&S is the latest introduction… Six Flags Fiesta Texas is first to get it.
I could see S&S possibly working on a next generation traditional 4th dimension coasters, using the RMC I-Box track, and retiring the Arrow Dynamics type track. B&M is also said to be working on its version of traditional 4th dimension coaster that has yet to debut.
ZacSpin and Free Fly comparisons. The similarities is the compact layout and the structural design. The differences would be seating, shoulder restraints, and ride experience… as well as ZacSpin using traditional steel track… and Free Fly using RMC I-Box track. I could see more theme parks adding Free Fly to their line-ups.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas’ new Batman: The Ride looks like it ought to be very good… along with other 2015 coasters (Twisted Colossus, Wicked Cyclone, Fury 325, Rougarou, Thunderbird, Tempesto, and Switchback, among others).
What is the difference between this and Green Lantern. @ SFMM in terms of ride experience?..in the videos/animations they appear very similar to me
