Ireland’s first wooden coaster is currently rising a few miles outside of Dublin. The coaster, which is as yet unnamed, will have a height of 105 feet – the fourth tallest in Europe – a drop of 95 feet, a top speed of 65mph and a length of 4,593 feet. The Gravity Group wood coaster will also feature a 135 degree overbanked curve inversion – the first inverting wood coaster in Europe. Tayto Park will only be entering its fifth year of operation. Below are some artist’s impressions of the park’s first roller coaster.
Planning documents for Tayto Park’s new coaster have been posted online and reveal the ride’s layout.
The woodie is already well into construction and is scheduled to open later this year.

All I can say is wow! what an amazing rendering of the ride (second picture)! It (and the people) looks real!
