Legoland Florida Gearing Up for Holidays

With temperatures plummeting across the United States, a trip south to Florida for the holidays doesn’t sound like such a bad idea. Fortunately, Legoland Florida is preparing to kick off its annual Christmas Bricktacular and Kids’ New Year’s Eve celebrations, beginning weekends in December.

Throughout the event, park guests can participate in holiday-themed Lego builds, interact with various characters and experience snow falling down on Fun Town.

Keep reading for six of the “bricktacular” activities you’ll find at Legoland Florida this holiday season:

1. You’ll see a 30-foot-tall Christmas tree made with a combination of 270,000 forest green Lego and Duplo bricks.

2. But you can also help Legoland build and decorate a separate, 20-foot-tall Lego tree.

3. The younger crowd in your group will enjoy the meet-and-greet opportunities with Santa and Lego Toy Soldier characters.

4. Even I may want a photo with the life-size Lego Santa, who appears to be keeping watch on who’s been naughty or nice.

5. Who needs an eye examination? The Santa scavenger hunt in the Miniland USA area (made of 30 million Lego bricks) will test the abilities of your eyesight.

6. Finally, end your day by watching nightly fireworks Dec. 26-30 beginning at 7 p.m.

The park concludes the month-long celebration with the ultimate Kids’ New Year’s Eve Celebration on Dec. 31, featuring a LEGO brick drop at 7 p.m. to bring in the New Year.

Along with Legoland Florida’s Christmas Bricktacular and Kids’ New Year’s Eve, guests can still enjoy a full day of theme park fun with more than 50 rides, shows and attractions.
