Goliath Taking Shape at Six Flags Great America

Six Flags Great America’s Goliath wooden coaster is growing. The park shared some beautiful photos of the progress — keep reading to see a few of the standout shots.

Rocky Mountain Construction’s signature red track is beginning to appear in sections of the coaster’s twisted course.

The station of Goliath’s predecessor, Iron Wolf, will be “widened and lengthened to accommodate the new ride,” according to the park’s Facebook.

The negative-G float element is beginning to form in the shot above.

Goliath’s massive tunnel will welcome riders twice — first after plunging down the coaster’s 180-foot drop and again later in the course.

The coaster is expected to open sometime this spring.
