Work Continues on Legoland Florida’s Toddler-Friendly Expansion

A herd of cows, goats, chickens, and sheep recently arrived at Legoland Florida to graze in the park’s latest expansion, Duplo Valley, built specifically for toddlers ages 2 to 5.

The park shared a video of the animals arriving at the construction site. Watch it below:

The park announced that the new area will officially open to guests on May 23, 2014, just in time for Memorial Day weekend. The farm animals will be key features in two of the area’s attractions, the mini tractor ride and the water play area.

The area’s central feature will be the Duplo Train where toddlers will be able to board a train on their own or with their parents as they explore countryside-themed scenery, including farms, fishing holes and campgrounds.

Nearby, toddlers will be able to jump on a mini-tractor and help the farmers plow the cornfields and hunt for missing farm animals.

For those looking to cool off, the new splash and play area will feature intermittent water spouts and interactive water elements set among lager than life farm animals with a soft deck for safety.

Additionally, the existing “Duplo Barn” will receive significant enhancements to allow kids to play indoors in the comfort of air conditioning.

If you’re visiting Legoland Florida with a toddler, the park has created a list of toddler-friendly attractions for your convenience.
