20th Century Fox Announces Malaysian Theme Park

An announcement like this needs its own theme music.

In 2016, Twentieth Century Fox will open it’s first theme park.

Malaysia’s Twentieth Century Fox World will be a 25-acre theme park featuring more than 25 rides and attractions. It’s part of the Resorts World Genting entertainment complex, located outside of Kuala Lumpur.

Twentieth Century Fox Films and franchises, including Ice Age, Night at the Museum, Planet of the Apes, and Alien vs. Predator, will be the focus of the park, which will feature a mixture of thrill rides and rides for families.

“The opening of the first Twentieth Century Fox theme park at Resorts World Genting takes our rich history of storytelling to a whole new level and will provide an exceptional entertainment experience,” said Jeffrey Godsick, president of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, in a statement. ”

The CEO of Genting Malaysia, the leisure and hospitality company that will be building the park, Tan Sri Lim Kok said that they were investing $300 Million in the park.

This is not the first theme park in the Southeastern Asia region. Universal Studios Singapore opened in 2010, and Legoland Malaysia opened in 2012, followed by Legoland Waterpark this October.
