Ring Racer (stylized ring°racer) has finally opened after years of construction. The S&S coaster, which was originally due to open in 2009, is located at The Nürburgring, a motorsport race track in Germany.
The roller coaster is part of a new entertainment area created in 2009 called “ring°werk.” Technical problems plaguing the launch system caused the delay.
The coaster was originally touted as the world’s fastest roller coaster with a launch of zero to 135 mph in 2.5 seconds, but the launch has been slowed to around 99 mph—still an impressive speed.

Uh… looks fun… kinda???? I think I’d rather take my WRX around the track and skip this coaster.
Great that it is finally open, but as they were going for the record it is unfortunately a few years and about 45mph too slow.
That still woudn’t stop me though. I can’t imagine launching twice as fast as a Formula One car does in that time.
It looks quite boring.
