Banshee’s First Drop Completed

Banshee’s continues to grow in size. Kings Island sent us spectacular photos of the B&M inverted coaster’s recently completed first drop.

“Work crews have completed the construction of the track for the 150-foot first drop on the world’s longest inverted roller coaster, “Banshee,” at Kings Island. Riders will scream their way through 4,124 feet of track and seven inversions at speeds up to 68 mph.”

“After plunging down the first drop, riders will go through a Curved Drop, Dive Loop, a loop interacting with the lift, Zero-G-Roll, Batwing, Outside Loop, Spiral, In-Line Roll and Carousel. The $24 million ride debuts in April 2014 at the Mason, Ohio amusement and waterpark.”
