Later this year, Adventure World in Australia will open Abyss, custom Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter coaster, the first of its kind in the country.
Riders will plunge 100 feet at speeds exceeding 52 mph during the ride’s 2,066-foot-long course. Abyss will feature three inversions: a double-inversion cobra roll and an inline twist.
The $12 million coaster’s four cars will seat eight riders each.

Abyss is scheduled to open in November 2013. It will be the park’s second coaster, joining the Dragon Express family coaster.

with how much I liked Rock Bottom Plunge at NickU, they’re needs to be more Euro-Fighters (as well as Intamin Half-Pipes) out there, they’re fast-paced and fun, but also take up not very much space with a compact layout (like RBP), and pack one heck of a punch, I just wish that one would open closer to Wisconsin (or in Wisconsin cough, Mount Olympus). but the fact that it’s in Australia makes it so that I’ll likely never get to ride it, sadly.
