Both Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Six Flags St. Louis will open Tsunami Soaker interactive water rides in 2014.
Tsunami Soaker is similar to the classic teacup ride but with an exciting twist. Six passengers will board one of the nine round boats sitting on a circular floor atop a pool of water. As the ride begins, the floor will lower into the water until it disappears below, allowing the boats to float and splash around. Each raft will spin in circles , creating a disorienting experience.
Each seat on the boat is armed with a giant water gun so every rider can take part in the action. While the boats rotate around the wet course, riders can engage in an adrenaline-pumping water battle, shooting water pistols at other riders as well as innocent bystanders, soaking them with bursts of water.
This will be the first interactive water ride in both parks.
Tsunami Soaker at Six Flags St. Louis is scheduled to open late spring 2014 and will be located in the Gateway to the West section of the park. The Discovery Kingdom location is unknown as of this posting.
Also announced, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom guests can now enjoy their favorite rides and attractions more often as the park expands its operating calendar year round in 2014, including holidays and weekends in both January and February.

Tsunami Soaker, which is slated to debut at both Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Six Flags St. Louis in Summer 2014 is pretty much similar to Aqua Twist, which debuted at La Ronde in 2013.
Most other Six Flags parks are getting the children’s area and/or water park expansions. Six Flags Over Georgia getting Hurricane Harbor, which will be replacing Southern Star Amphitheatre, had me scratching my head, especially with Six Flags White Water being a nearby stand alone waterpark.
