Bay Beach Amusement Park’s Zippin Pippin wooden coaster welcomed its millionth rider this past Sunday.
Ashley Jolley of Oswego, Illinois was the lucky millionth rider. She received a gift basket full of Zippin Pippin memorabilia, a plaque and a ride on the coaster alongside the mayor of Green Bay, Jim Schmitt.
Jolley then boarded the ride with the Mayor in the front seat for the fun-filled ride.
The coaster opened in 2011. It exceeded the forecasted average of 200,000 riders per year. The coaster is a replica of the historic Zippin Pippin which operated at Libertyland in Memphis, Tenn. from 1923 until 2005.
