Knott’s Berry Farm Boardwalk Opens

Last weekend, Knott’s Berry Farm’s new Boardwalk area officially opened to guests. The beach boardwalk-inspired area was once home to Perilous Plunge, but now features three family friendly attractions.

Snoopy was on hand to help park officials open the new Boardwalk area to guests.

In the above shot all three of the new Boardwalk attractions are visible: Coaster Rider (the Mack wild mouse coaster), Surfside Gliders and Pacific Scrambler. The park’s Boomerang also received a new bright color scheme. I really like it.

Watch an onride video of Coast Rider below:

Coast Rider is a standard Mack wild mouse that stands 52 feet tall. It joins several other family coasters at Knott’s Berry Farm including Pony Express and Sierra Sidewinder.

Local firefighters assisted in filling the massive pool leftover from Perilous Plunge that surrounds the Boardwalk area.
