Great Coasters International (GCI) recently shared some stunning photographs of their newest coaster: Gold Striker at California’s Great America. Although the coaster is not complete, it is very close.
Gold Striker’s station includes a roof, which surprisingly is not a common occurrence with the other coasters at California’s Great America.
Seen in the above shot are the brake run and the “run-to-the-lift.”
Gold Striker stands 108 feet tall and features a 103-foot-drop.

Work continues on the 174-foot tunnel covering the first drop, the world’s “longest covered initial descent tunnel on a wooden coaster.”
