When I first saw this photo that Cedar Point posted to its Facebook page, I thought I was seeing a sandy white beach. I forgot that today is January 3rd, and that isn’t much sand visible in snow-covered Sandusky, Ohio.
Regardless, this is a beautiful photo of the Bolliger & Mabillard wing coaster’s diving drop, immelmann inversion and camelback hill. The 170-foot lift hill will no doubt offer riders unprecedented views of Lake Eerie.
Although snow covers the construction site, the skies are clear which will hopefully allow construction crews to stay on schedule so that the coaster can open in May.
