Six Flags America held a preview event for season passholders to test out the newly-relocated Apocalypse standup coaster and Tyler Hopkins was on hand to bring us back some great photos of the rejuvenated coaster. The ride’s orange, black and grey color scheme really make it stand out, and coupled with some neat thematic elements scattered throughout the course of the ride, it looks like Six Flags America has a winner. Riders report a generally smooth ride, which is a huge plus considering its painful reputation when it was known as Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America.

I live by 6f Great America and they just took down a ride called Iron Wolf and Apocalypse is the excact same ride with different colors and name. Everyone hated iron Wolf cause you get a terrible headach and wasn’t even a very good ride.Go once but don’t risk the headach again.
I’ve heard it’s smoother at SFA. Maybe it’s just the new name and paint.
It’s really not that bad at all. The top and exit of the corkscrew, and the entrance to the loop are the worst parts, but aside from that it’s fine. People always complain about roughness, just hold your head to one side and get over it!
