Street View: Kemah Boardwalk

Kemah Boardwalk, developed by Landry’s Restaurants, opened in 2001 overlooking Galveston Bay. In 2007, the park opened Boardwalk Bullet, a compact Gravity Group wooden coaster. The entertainment destination survived the damaging effects of Hurricane Ike in 2008 and has come back stronger than ever.

The Boardwalk Bullet slowly comes into view as you approach the boardwalk on Kipp Avenue.

Boardwalk Bullet’s 96-foot-tall structure stands tall over the corner of Kipp and 4th Street.

Boardwalk Bullet’s twisted, 3,236-foot-long layout occupies only an acre of land, making it one of the most compact wooden coasters in the world.

Some of the boardwalk’s other attractions can be seen from the corner of Bradford Avenue and 4th Street.
